Emmi has trained in Cognitive Functional Therapy (CFT).  Cognitive Functional Therapy (CFT) is used to manage chronic Lower Back Pain (LBP). It focuses on analysing the behavioural psychology and beliefs seen within patterns of movement. By understanding the patients beliefs and experience of their pain, the physiotherapist can identify modifiable factors associated with the individuals LBP. The goal is to assist patients to understand their pain within their viewpoint, and identify strategies for them to manage their pain that’s aligned with their goals for activities, participation and lifestyle. This helps the individual become autonomous and self manage their pain.
