The Simplest Hip and Knee exercise

Are you having hip, knee or lower limb problems?
 
This is one of the most commonly prescribed exercises I use in my clinic for our clients with hip, knee or lower limb problems.
– Start with your weight even on both legs
– Progress by taking some weight off the unaffected side
– Progress further by taking all the weight on the affected side
 
Take care to keep the hip, knee and ankle in alignment – you will notice on the one leg version that this old boy is struggling a little to stop his knee from losing alignment.
 
Make it easier or harder by using a higher or lower chair.
Make it even harder by adding some weight resistance for those advanced ones out there.. only progress when you can do the version before correctly.
